Are you finding old or broken lights as you decorate for the holidays? Recycle them!
The Loveland Sustainability Council is promoting The Great Holiday Light Challenge, a friendly competition held annually among City of Loveland, Miami Township, and Symmes Township. Residents are encouraged to recycle their used holiday lights Nov. 30, 2024, through Jan. 17, 2025, at the following locations:
- City of Loveland residents: City Hall (120 W. Loveland Ave.)
- Miami Township residents: Move2Loveland/Keller Williams (524 Wards Corner Road)
- Symmes Township residents: Symmes Administration Building (9323 Union Cemetery Road)
The community that recycles the most wins bragging rights. On average, approximately 500 pounds of lights are dropped off to the three drop-off locations collectively.
