Calling all artists! The City of Loveland’s Arts Commission is seeking unique art to decorate the city’s traffic signal boxes.
Artists are invited to submit their “purely Loveland” design to become a vinyl traffic box wrap. The city will cover two traffic signal boxes in 2024: one along Broadway Street/State Route 48 and the other along Wall Street.
Residents of Hamilton, Warren and Clermont County, Ohio, are encouraged to apply. The contest is open to individual artists; please no organizations or artist groups/collaborations. All imagery must be of original design and not a copy or variation of another artist’s design in any medium.
A $1,000 honorarium will be awarded for use of each design.
This will mark the third installment in the Art Commission’s public art project. Previously, three traffic signal boxes have been decorated.
Submissions are due by Sept. 8, 2024. Get the design specifications and learn more at https://www.lovelandoh.gov/492/Traffic-Signal-Boxes.
