[ARCHIVED] Stineman Honored with McCoy Award

2024 McCoy Rob Stineman

Loveland City Council presented the 2024 Stan McCoy Sr. Community Service Volunteer Award at its May 14 meeting.

Lisa Freeman and Dan Timmerman of the Parks & Recreation Board presented the award to Rob Stineman. This annual award is presented to a nominee who has participated in recreation activities that benefit the city and/or residents for at least three years.

Stineman has been active in Loveland youth sports for more than 15 years. He has helped lead Loveland Youth Baseball, football and basketball at St. Columban School, and Loveland Youth Basketball. He has worn many “hats” performing duties ranging from field maintenance, umpire, league director, coach, board member, and manager.

Stineman was nominated for this award by Mike Wagner of Loveland Youth Baseball. Wagner wrote the following in Stineman’s nomination application:

“Rob has stepped up numerous times when a coach wasn't present and has coached several teams where he didn't have one of his four kids on the team. Rob does all this while not asking for recognition. He makes it about the kids. That is one of the main reasons he is a good selection to receive this award.”
