At the June 26 City Council Meeting, Ben Capodagli with Cappy's Wine and Spirts was presented with the second 2018 Business Enhancement Award from Mayor Kathy Bailey. Cappy’s has become a favorite destination in downtown Loveland. The business has thrived due to the entrepreneurial spirit of its owner Ben Capodagli. In her nomination of Cappy's, Councilwoman Angie Settell stated, "To receive this award, a business will have demonstrated an increase in business, increase in the number of employees and exhibited the most effort to enhance not only the property but the business itself. Cappy’s has certainly done this."
Ben has made a
commitment to the community by expanding the business. Cappy’s offers
craft beers, wine and wine tastings, music and food trucks. On any given night people from all walks of life can be found at Cappy’s enjoying what it has to offer. There is always
some special event that brings people downtown. He has not just
been content with growing and giving new life to his business, but goes the
extra step, always willing to contribute money to City events as well as his time in
serving on the planning committees such as the 4th of July. He
is absolutely committed to our community. The unique thing about Cappy’s is
that Ben has created a business that appeals to all citizens of Loveland.
