[ARCHIVED] LCFA Donates to Community Organizations

LCFA Donation

At the April 25 City Council meeting, the Loveland Community Firefighters’ Association (LCFA) made donations to three area organizations.

Deputy Chief Mike Books presented checks to representatives from LIFE Food Pantry, NEST Community Learning Center, and Loveland Stage Company. LCFA is a non-profit that works year-round to raise funds to supplement the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department, as well as hometown projects.

“All three of these organizations provide invaluable services to our community,” Books said. “They have been affected by the continuation of the coronavirus pandemic, and we wanted to give back to them so they can maintain their great support, education, and entertainment for the community.”

The following individuals accepted the donations on behalf of their organization:

  • Linda Bergholz, LIFE Food Pantry
  • Van DeVol, NEST
  • Pat Furterer, Loveland Stage Company

Added Mayor Kathy Bailey in reference to Books and the individuals: “The four of you represent four of the finest institutions I think we have here in this city. Thank you all for being here.”
