[ARCHIVED] Employment Opportunity: Assistant Chief of Police

Are you a policing professional with supervisor experience who values service, growth, innovation, a sense of community, and honesty above all? Through Feb. 11, the City of Loveland Police Department is seeking candidates for an Assistant Chief of Police.

The Assistant Chief of Police will help lead 21 sworn officers and three administrative team members. A complete position description, including qualifications and minimum acceptable characteristics, is available at the City of Loveland website:

All applications will be collected by the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) on behalf of the Loveland Police Department. Candidates must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, an organizational chart from your current employer, and a one-page narrative detailing specific demonstration of your knowledge, skills, and abilities by Feb. 11, 2022, at 4 p.m. EST. 

Successful candidates will be invited to participate in an in-person assessment process on March 5, followed by a panel interview, personality assessment, truth verification test, background investigation, physical assessment, drug screening, and additional interviews.
