Sparks will fly February 11-13 in Loveland, the “Sweetheart of Ohio.” The City of Loveland is pleased to announce a new city-wide event debuting in 2022: Hearts Afire Weekend.
Hearts Afire will take place the weekend before Valentine’s Day. Imagine the perfect winter weekend in Loveland, featuring romantic carriage rides, ice sculptures, outdoor decorations, live entertainment, and fire performers!
“Many say that Loveland feels like a Hallmark movie in February because of our name,” said Mayor Kathy Bailey. “Since our town is nicknamed the ‘Sweetheart of Ohio,’ we officially want to hold an event to celebrate and invite everyone to visit us!”
The city will host a variety of activities, and local businesses will bring the heat with shopping and dining specials, as well as unique events. Businesses in the Historic Downtown District, as well as along the Loveland-Madeira Road Corridor, are participating. Some of the weekend fun includes:
- Ice Carving Demonstrations
- "Galentine's Night" Activities
- Speed Dating
- “Mask”erade Ball hosted by the Loveland-Symmes Firefighters Association (Tickets on sale now!)
- Chasing Cupid 5K
- Love & Attraction Spell Workshops
The majority of activities will take place on Saturday, Feb. 12. Activity details will be posted in the coming weeks on LovinLifeLoveland.com.
If your business is interested in participating, please contact Misty Brents at Loveland City Hall at (513) 707-1437.
