[ARCHIVED] 2021 Loveland Business Enhancement Award

Oasis 3-25-21

At the March 23 meeting, City Council presented the 2021 Loveland Business Enhancement Award to Oasis Turf & Tree.

This award is given to a business in the City of Loveland. The recipient(s) will have demonstrated an increase in business, increase in the number of employees on the payroll, and exhibited the most effort to enhance the esthetics of their property through a combination of renovation, building additions, painting, or beautification projects. Oasis was nominated by Mayor Kathy Bailey.

"The City is truly lucky to have Rob and Angela Reindl/Oasis Turf and Tree in our community, and their business could not be more deserving of the Business Enhancement Award," said Bailey.

The following is Mayor Bailey's nomination letter:

In October 2018, Rob and Angela Reindl purchased a six-acre, overgrown, empty lot that sat as a sad gateway to our Loveland-Madeira Road business district. They took that property and built a beautiful 26,000 square foot facility that includes 18,000 square feet of warehouse to hold 40 vehicles, plus 8,000 square feet of office space featuring mezzanines and an open work environment. Geothermal energy provides heat and cooling to the facility. In January 2021, solar panels were installed to provide power needs to the entire facility, making it a Net-Zero facility. Oasis currently employs 58 full-time employees, most of whom are employed year-round despite Oasis being a seasonal business.

In 2020, Oasis Turf & Tree’s business revenue grew by 18%; luckily, the property still has a large open lot for future growth. As befitting the business Oasis is in, they have done an outstanding job of turning the property into a true “oasis.” The remaining three acres were cleared of honeysuckle and thatch to provide a healthy environment for the trees to thrive, as well as areas for the employees to enjoy on their breaks. Two acres of turf have been planted throughout the property, and a variety of annual and perennial plants can be found in landscapes similar to what you would find at the Cincinnati Botanical Garden and Zoo. Most of the beautiful landscape beds are surrounded by rock walls with stone brought in from western states. The valley area on the property will feature walking trails along with new sustainable trees as part of Phase 3 of Oasis’ landscape plans.

Rob and Angela certainly have exhibited extraordinary effort to enhance the esthetics of their property and to create a beautiful new gateway into our Loveland-Madeira business district. Oasis Turf & Tree is more than deserving of this award.
