Minutes from the October 13 City Council meeting were approved.
An ordinance reducing Loveland's minimum monthly water rate usage amount was adopted. Beginning with the January 2021 billing cycle, the first 2,240 gallons, or less, of water will cost $14,18; usage over 2,240 gallons will cost $0.00355 per gallon; and usage over 3,240 gallons will cost $0.00389 per gallon.
City Council adopted a resolution authorizing a services agreement with Cincinnati Bell for the installation, monitoring, and management of Smart City technology in downtown Loveland. To learn more about Smart City technology click here.
The Loveland Police Department was authorized to apply for an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance (JAG) Grant to provide training on de-escalation for law enforcement officers.
The City will submit a Community Development Block Grant application through the Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission to seek funding to replace six water values within Loveland Heights.
A public hearing was scheduled on November 24, 2020, at or about 7:00 p.m. to receive public comment on a request to amend the zoning map for the property located at 418 N. Second Street. The applicant's request consists of a change in zoning from Residential-Medium Density to Residential-Multi-Family.
City Council adjusted their December meeting schedule for the holidays. Their December meetings will be held on December 8 and 15. There will be no meeting on December 22.
An executive session was held to consider the sale of property. No action was taken.
City Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. The meetings are held at City Hall, 120 W. Loveland Avenue, and are open to the public. Meetings are live streamed on the City’s website, and a video recording of the meeting is posted on the website after the meeting. Meeting agendas and supporting documentation are posted on the City’s website prior to each meeting.
