The Food Truck Grab-N-Go will take place 4-9 pm at Shopper’s Haven on Loveland Madeira Road. Loveland City Council members will be on hand to greet attendees (at a socially safe distance) and answer questions submitted on site.
“As elected leaders of this community, Loveland City Council members are always looking for opportunities to connect with residents. It has been particularly challenging this year with the pandemic and all the related safety precautions,” stated Loveland Mayor Kathy Bailey. “We are thrilled to participate in the Chamber’s Food Truck Grab-N-Go to engage with residents, and also excited that we have found a way to connect safely. We are really looking forward to it,” said Bailey.
As a means to accommodate resident questions in a safe and distanced manner, council members will utilize an on-site transmitter to read submitted questions and their responses. Residents parked in the vicinity will then be able to tune in to the designated FM station to hear the Q&A from the safety of their own vehicles.
“The dynamic of this Q&A reminds me of a drive-in movie,” said Little Miami River Chamber Alliance President Cee Cee Collins. “Residents can pick up dinner from among the 11 food trucks on site and then eat in their cars while listening to the questions and responses from council members. It’s fun and it’s innovative,” continued Collins.
At the Food Truck Grab-N-Go on Saturday, residents can submit their questions at the designated Loveland City Council booth. Instructions for tuning in will be shared on site as well. In addition, questions and answers will later be posted to the City of Loveland website.
