[ARCHIVED] City Hall Reopening May 12

Since the closure of City Hall on March 17, staff has worked to maintain services to our residents and respond to all communications quickly. Other activities by staff during the closure of City Hall include keeping a keen eye on the financial aspect of the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition to suspending various 2020 Capital Improvement Projects, City Staff has worked hard to stay up to date on all available funding sources, which it will seek reimbursement for COVID-19 related expenses. This includes communicating with legislative officials in support of additional funding for local communities throughout the State of Ohio.

In compliance with State orders, Loveland City Hall will re-open to the public on Tuesday, May 12 from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.  While we still recommend utilizing on-line resources and the City Hall drop box options for utility bill payments, walk-in payments will be accepted on May 12.

This opening comes with restrictions to assure the safety of City Staff and visitors to the building.

  • We ask that visitors to City Hall enter from the west side of the building (parking lot) and exit through the south side (West Loveland)
  • Between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M., City Hall will be dedicated to serve seniors and high-risk visitors only.
  • City Hall will close at 4:00 P.M. to allow employees to clean their workspaces
  • Per State orders, City Staff will be wearing face coverings and we recommend that visitors wear face coverings.
  • Social distancing within the lobby is required.
  • Access will be restricted to the main lobby.
  • Capacity within City Hall will be limited to meet social distancing guidelines.
  • Face to face meetings with City Staff must be made in advance and approved by the City Manager.

Just like our residents and businesses, we at City Hall are adjusting to the various restrictions in place.  Through the use of virtual meeting software, our department heads have been able to remain in visual contact to discuss various city issues while meeting distancing requirements.  These types of meetings will continue into the foreseeable future.  Additionally, modifications to City Hall are underway which will restrict access to areas outside of the main lobby.  Glass protection is being installed at the Utility and Building Department counters, and sanitizing stations are being added to the lobby.

On behalf of all of City Staff, we greatly appreciate the patience of our residents as we adjust our operations throughout the COVID-19 outbreak.  We will continue to update our residents and welcome any questions or concerns via email at
