LPD and the OCPA are also co-hosting Introduction to Crime Prevention - Crime Preventions Specialist Certification for our faith community, businesses, non-profit organizations, and government partners. CPS certification is a great skill set to expand your capabilities in your personal and professional life. Effective Crime Prevention has been seen as a key strategy in reducing crime and violence in our communities. This comprehensive course is designed to address local community needs ranging from physical security to violence prevention. This course is tailored to the needs of today's crime prevention and community policing practitioners, and places great emphasis on programmatic initiatives giving the practitioners the knowledge, tools, and resources to do their jobs successfully.
