Deputy Chief Mike Books and Captain Brian Hall demonstrated the department's SimMan 3G mannequin, a state-of-the-art patient simulator that provides training in a multitude of different medical procedures and patient cases. It perfectly combines the need to identify skill improvement areas for individuals as well as those essential for a team to function together, such as communication, behavior, and leadership within a risk-free environment. SimMan 35 can display a wide range of physiological and neurological symptoms as well as pharmacological responses for over 145 drugs. Mayor Bailey applauded the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department for their efforts to refine their life-saving skills which benefits everyone in the community.
