LOVELAND, OHIO (November 24, 2025) - The City of Loveland, in partnership with the Loveland-Symmes Firefighters Association, invites the community to join the 5th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Festival on Saturday, December 6, from 4–8 p.m. in Historic Downtown Loveland.
The downtown district will be beautifully decorated for the holidays thanks to the City’s Public Works Department and the Loveland-Symmes Firefighters Association. Visitors can enjoy a festive evening filled with live entertainment, seasonal activities, and holiday cheer for all ages.
The centerpiece of the evening is the city’s 60-foot-tall Christmas tree along the Little Miami Scenic Trail (near West Loveland Avenue), adorned with 2,500 lights and 250 ornaments. The tree lighting will be accompanied by a spectacular drone show at 8 p.m., marking the official start of the holiday season.
Event Highlights Include:
- Live Music: American Idol contestant Michael Williams performing from 4–8 p.m.
- Emcee: Local celebrity and WLWT meteorologist Randi Rico.
- Live Reindeer: At City Hall from 4:30–6:30 p.m.
- Gingerbread House Contest: Entries displayed at City Hall.
- Kid Train Rides: Along W. Loveland Avenue (west of Railroad Avenue).
- Craft Vendors: Along the bike trail near Fleet Feet.
- Food Trucks: Including Viva Mexico, All About the Churros, Cincy Smash, Servatii’s Pretzels, Menks Coffee Truck, and Kona Ice.
- Photo Opportunities: Large Snow Globe, “Frosty Lane” at Hops and Berry, and more.
- Santa Visits: Santa House at Browns Crossing, plus letters to Santa with Ms. Claus at Montgomery Cyclery.
- Strolling Characters: Elves, Buddy the Elf, Frosty, Penguin, Peppermint Girl, Polar Express Conductor, and Yukon Cornelius.
- City of Loveland 2025 Christmas Ornament: Specially designed for the event; 250 available while supplies last.
- Community Activities: Fill the Medic toy and clothing donation drive, holiday scavenger hunt at Alley Boutique, crafts and games at Better Blends, ugly sweater party with live music at Cappy’s Taproom and Bottle Shop, meet-and-greets with princesses and superheroes at Crown & Cape Boutique, Christmas movie classics at City Hall by Edward Jones Financial Advisor Ian Roewer, and ornament painting at Whistle Stop Clay Works.
Road and Parking Closures: W. Loveland Avenue will be closed at Karl Brown Way and SR 48 to accommodate festival activities.
