[ARCHIVED] LPD Adds Lieutenant to Command Staff

Boettger with Council

Officer Michael Boettger of the Loveland Police Department (LPD) has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant. He took his oath of office, which was administered by Mayor Kathy Bailey, at Loveland City Council’s Jan. 23 meeting.

Boettger has served the citizens of Loveland since 2017. He has worked in patrol, investigations, and most recently as the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Loveland Intermediate and Middle School.

During the ceremony, Boettger was joined by his family. He thanked LPD and said he is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community in another capacity. As a lieutenant, he will assume command of a patrol squad.

“We are excited and pleased to have Mike join the command staff,” stated Chief Michael Gabrielson.

Please help congratulate Lieutenant Boettger!
