City Engineer Cindy Klopfenstein is leaving the City of Loveland effective Feb. 2, 2024.
She is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).
2024 marks Klopfenstein’s 16th year of employment with Loveland, where she has led civil engineering projects including their grant preparation, construction administration, and site observation. Her work impacts public facilities including the water system, roadways, parks, sidewalks, retaining walls, bridges, sanitary sewer system, and storm water system. The City Engineer also serves as the city’s Floodplain Administrator, Prevailing Wage Coordinator, representative at the Regional Storm Water Collaborative, representative for the city’s Storm Water Committee, and leads activities for the city’s Ohio EPA Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System.
“The city has been incredibly lucky to have Cindy for 16 years. Cindy has secured millions of dollars for capital infrastructure projects. Her professionalism will be greatly missed,” said David Kennedy, City Manager.
Klopfenstein accepted an offer from the Village of Indian Hill to serve as City Engineer.
