The north sidewalk of the W. Loveland Ave. Bridge will be temporarily repaired the week of June 27. All repairs will be completed in time for the city’s Independence Day Celebration on July 4.
Blacktop will be laid to correct the uneven patches in the concrete, making the surface safe and level for pedestrian traffic.
This project is funded by the City of Loveland, Clermont County Engineer’s Office, and Hamilton County Engineer’s Office.
The blacktop work is a temporary fix until the sidewalks are fully replaced. In 2021, the city and county submitted a joint grant application to replace the north sidewalk, as well the railings, walls and bridge abutments. However, private utilities running near the sidewalk must be relocated before construction can begin, which has delayed the project.
