On February 1st, 2021 the Loveland Police Department began accepting applications for the position of police officer. The LPD Family received a total of 61 lateral and non-lateral applicants. Thank you to everyone who has patiently participated in this rigorous process. Selecting new family members is never an easy task but our team narrowed the list to 15 candidates. The list was presented to the Loveland Civil Service Commission on April 13. The Commission certified the list of eligible police officer applicants, which is listed below. Applicants will be contacted via email in regards to their assigned number and status.

There is still plenty of work to be done! The LPD hiring team will begin scheduling rides with field training officers, personality assessments, background investigations, interviews, truth verification tests, psychological exams, drug screens, and physical assessments. The Department hopes to hire two officers in June. Stay tuned!
