Holiday Light Recycling Begins

Are you finding old or broken lights as you decorate for the holidays? Recycle them!

The Loveland Sustainability Council is promoting The Great Holiday Light Challenge, a friendly competition held annually among City of Loveland, Miami Township, and Symmes Township. Residents are encouraged to recycle their used holiday lights Nov. 24-Jan. 31. City of Loveland residents may bring their lights to City Hall (120 W Loveland Ave.).

The community that recycles the most “wins” bragging rights. On average, approximately 500 pounds of lights are collected between the three drop-off locations.
