Emergency Alerts
The city is unique as its boundaries fall in three counties: Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren. This can pose challenges for contacting our residents and is why, for instance, the city operates its own dispatch center.
Any emergency alert (boil advisory, road closure, etc.) will be posted on LovelandOH.gov and the city's social media. If you want to be contacted directly via email or phone when an alert is issued, there are two methods:
Alert Center Notifications
You can sign up for notifications directly from our website. Any time an emergency alert is posted to LovelandOH.gov, you would receive an email and/or text message.
This option requires you to create a profile on LovelandOH.gov. You will enter your email address to sign up. Notification preferences can be updated at any time.
Alert Hamilton County
The city has partnered with Alert Hamilton County (Alert HC), a mass notification and warning system. Alerts can be provided via text message, email, cell phone, home phone, or work phone. City residents in Hamilton County AND Clermont County can opt in to Alert HC.
Alert Hamilton County is paired with a system called “Smart911,” which enables your important information to be shared with first responders during an emergency. With Smart911, both 9-1-1 dispatch and first responders can know exactly what you want them to know during any kind of emergency. You can add vital information such as information about members of your household; medical details; disabilities and equipment; emergency contacts; and address/property details.
