The Loveland Beautification Committee is charged with the beautification of Loveland through design, organization, and implementation of plantings that enhance the appeal of our city. Annual events include Spring Planting, Fall Planting, the Love & Flowers Contest, and the Light Up Loveland Contest.
Love & Flowers Contest: Summer 2021
A contest is being held to celebrate and encourage planting of the city's 2021 flower, the Red Whopper Begonia. Residents are encouraged to plant the flower in an engaging or unique way in their yards or within a porch display. If you or a neighbor have planted an award-worthy display, submit your nomination. Cash prizes (and bragging rights) will be awarded!
- Nominate yourself or a neighbor May 31-June 27, 2021. Submit a nomination here.
- Nomination photos will be uploaded to a Facebook Group. From June 30-July 4, the public will be invited to vote for their favorite displays.
- The winners will be announced approximately July 12.
The mission of the Beautification Committee is to enhance the quality of life in our community through the planning and management of the City’s valuable landscape assets. The Committee promotes community pride and involvement through beautification projects by forming cooperative partnerships with individual volunteers, schools, civic organizations, businesses and City Administration.
The Beautification Committee meets on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. Additional meetings will be scheduled as needed.
Serve two-year terms that expire on December 31, 2021.
